butterflyboy: (I'm actually cheerful)
[personal profile] butterflyboy
A list of the various bits of RP Victor has engaged in. For reference purposes, unless it's otherwise stated or he's being meta, he's in a vague time period right after Chapter 5 and before Chapter 6 in "Secundus."
EDIT: Recently moved to post Chapter 6, typically played before he confesses his feelings to Alice in Chapter 10.
EDIT: Now in a relationship with Alice in Charloft. Any major RP there will still be recorded here. However, all new RP on Dreamwidth will be recorded in Roleplay Listing, Part II.

Sunday RP Prompts
Sunday Snow Party! -- Victor goes out in the snow and starts drawing in it. (No replies)

Sunday Travels -- Victor gets lost in Mechanicsburg and desperately tries to find someone who speaks English or French. (no replies)

Sunday Cleaning -- Victor takes a Sunday to try and clean up the floor of Dr. E. Brown's 24-Hour Scientific Services. (no replies)

Sunday What's THAT Doing There? -- Victor comes to the tea table only to find an aquarium on it. This strangeness is quickly eclipsed by the arrival of Alice Liddell ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits), who walked into the tea room underneath Mad Hatter Haberdashery instead of World's End. Much confusion ensues with the local version of Alice and Wonderland, though the squimberry tarts remain a hit. Also a comment by [livejournal.com profile] celestial, but we're not sure if that was OOC or not.

Sunday Home Life -- Victor spends a quiet day in the flat, doodling and just enjoying himself. (no replies)

Sunday Mechanical Wonders -- Victor goes to the theater to attend a performance of the Mechtorian Circus. [livejournal.com profile] wilde_shade's character Hush appears to ruin his good time by making an nuisance of himself and speculating that Victor's really dead.

Sunday Ads -- Victor discovers his pocket watch (a gift from his father) is missing, and puts a "Lost" ad in the local paper. (no replies)

Sunday Dangerous Times -- Some idiot makes Nightmare Spiders and lets them escape. Victor has to navigate the web-filled streets of Secundus before the infestation is taken care of. Lady Simone Wollington ([livejournal.com profile] simone_w), fresh from a little petty thievery, finds herself caught in one of the webs. After escaping a spider, she and Victor team up to locate a safe haven at Mad Hatter Haberdashery, then to help Victor's friends stop the spiders at their source.

Sunday Question For All -- Victor asks the community at large if they have a favorite insect (being as he's a hobbyist entomologist). Bunches of people (including Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) and Senri ([livejournal.com profile] dainty_ofcourse)) chime in with their favorites.

Sunday Overcharged in the Best Possible Way -- Timeshift! A Victor in the midst of Going Creative eagerly welcomes visitors into the lab he's working in. Valor Fable ([livejournal.com profile] naamah_darling) gets distracted from his mission of talking to someone about some journals by Victor's clockwork butterfly, and later by the downswing to Victor's breakthrough.

Sunday At Least It Isn't Chromatic Death or Resplendent Immolation -- Victor's come down with a most unusual cold. . . . [livejournal.com profile] quantumlobster offers a bit of sympathy.

Sunday Annoying Jobs -- Victor's trying to fix the shop's difference engine, and getting rather annoyed while doing so. Why does he always get stuck doing this? (no replies)

Sunday In Wonderland Park -- Victor visits the tea fountain in Wonderland Park on his Sunday off, admiring the local insect life. (no replies)

Sunday Where? Who? What?? -- Victor wakes from a drugged sleep to find that he's apparently been kidnapped -- though for what purpose, he cannot tell. And there's someone down there with him. . . Said someone proves to be the gargoyle Mayur ([livejournal.com profile] teacup_werewolf), who has also been kidnapped. By whom and for what purpose has yet to be revealed.
Alternately, said someone proves to be Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits), who has also been kidnapped. Who did it (and how they even got to Alice, who's from a different world) has yet to be revealed.

Sunday YOU Deal With Her -- Small timeskip ahead to the area in Chapter 6 through 10 of "Secundus" where Nell and William are making Victor's life hell with their repeated attempts to get him to come home. He went to their hotel to talk to them, but now he really doesn't want to face down his mother yet again. Any volunteers? (no replies)

Sunday IN SPAAACE -- Victor's somehow gotten himself on a moonbase. And while he's fascinated by the possibilities of being on the moon, he'd really like some company as he explores. Company comes in the form of Dree ([livejournal.com profile] heartof_thezone), who's helping out all the new arrivals to said moonbase. She guides him to the awesome moon conservatory (complete with butterfly tent!) and then helps him get in contact with his pals back home.

Sunday Arguing My Case -- Again, a small timeskip to the Chapter 6+ area of "Secundus" and Nell and William being annoyance personified. Victor practices yet another speech to try and convince his mother that no, he hasn't been mind-controlled in E. L. Brown's 24-Hour Scientific Services, but is startled by a customer's arrival. . . . (no replies)

Sunday See You At The Show -- Victor and Doc attend a special concert where Marty will be performing. Doc's called away to help Marty with a technical problem, however, leaving Victor to while away the time before the show alone -- or will he? (no replies)

Sunday Forgiveness -- Victor drafts a letter to one Gordon Tannen, one of his old bullies from Burtonsville. He's forgiving Gordon for making his life hell because his actions led to Victor going to Secundus and becoming very happy. He could use a comment or two on his letter draft, however. (no replies)

Sunday Waiting For You -- Victor's outside Mad Hatter Haberdashery, waiting for Alice (who's running late on account of having to go defeat an Automaton for some people). Anyone want to keep him company and perhaps keep him from fretting? (no replies)

Sunday What I'm Made Of -- Victor finds himself cornered in an alley by a gang of anti-Touched hate group members. Assistance would be greatly appreciated!! (no replies)

Sunday Say What You Mean, Not Mean What You Say! -- Left alone to mind the store, Victor finds himself on the wrong side of a bad-tempered customer who expects employees to read his mind and know what kind of wrench he wants when he says simply "wrench." Hopefully any newcomers will take his side and not the customer's. . . . Fortunately, Aidan ([livejournal.com profile] akisilver) does, giving the customer (one Professor Whatsit) a piece of his mind.

Sunday This Is The Way The World Ends -- In an AU future where the Queen of Hearts succeeded in taking over Secundus, monsters of all sorts roam the streets as survivors cower in fear. Victor himself lurks in the shadows of the town, waiting and watching for others like himself. The person he finds, though, happens to be an unfortunate nexus-traveler who took a wrong turn. Gabriel ([livejournal.com profile] serialfiller) just wanted to buy a few herbs for a friend. Victor saves him from an Automaton with his acid butterflies and leads him to (relative) safety in Richard's old hat shop. One awkward chat later, the mission becomes "Get Gabriel home in one piece."

Sunday It's A Sickness -- Victor's just woken up in a hospital, but he's not sure why. Perhaps someone will come along and tell him what's happened. (no replies)

Sunday What To Do, What To Do! -- Victor's been chased by a monster into an alleyway, where he's faced with a decision -- climb the wall in front of him or hide in a trash can. The monster's roar decides things for him, and Victor starts climbing for the roof. Will he make it? Will anyone come to help him? (no replies)

Sunday My Name is Victor Van Dort. You Hurt My Friends. PREPARE TO DIE. -- Timeshift to the climax of "Secundus," when Victor's friends' rescue operation has gone rather awry. Victor, meanwhile, has gone a bit Creative, which would have led to nice butterfly-related things if he hadn't heard Alice scream in pain. As it is now -- Victor is Severely Touched and on the warpath, ready and willing to bring a world of hurt to the Queen and her minions. Anybody need saving? (no replies)

Sunday I Can't Spend This -- Victor witnesses someone's successful teleportation experiment and gets a wallet full of money for telling the guy where he is. Unfortunately, it's full of AMERICAN money. Anybody want a few dollar bills? Marty's getting them if nobody speaks up. (no replies)

Sunday Letter NO ONE Should Read -- Victor plucks up his courage and writes Alice Liddell a love letter. However, on his way to deliver it, a gust of wind yanks it out of his hand. Will anyone be kind enough to catch it and return it to him? Will anyone be cruel enough to read his mushy sentiments? (no replies)

Sunday Oh Yes It DOES Have To Involve Time Travel -- Doc's taken Victor and Marty along with him on a trip to explore the wonderland that is Hill Valley, 2015! Unfortunately, Victor got separated from his pals thanks to a "fun run." He's currently hanging out in the Town Square, hoping his friends find him soon and wondering what he'll do if anyone happens to talk to him. (no replies)

Sunday - A Very Merry Unbirthday -- [livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast's March Hare hosts an unbirthday party! Victor and his friends are in attendance, but anyone else who wants to drop by is very much welcome to. (no replies)

Sunday Save the Scientist, Save the World? -- Victor's stunned when a future version of himself grabs him, asking for help in changing the future. Apparently Lewis Carroll dies, and Future Victor would like to fix that. Will someone comment on this odd tableau -- and will they help or hinder the Victors in their mission? (no replies)

Sunday - Ice Cream Social! (Old) -- Victor and his [livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast friends attend an ice cream social at the First Church of Steam. The event's open to all, so who knows who else might drop by? Like, say, [livejournal.com profile] naamah_darling's Valor, eager to catch up with Victor, and show him some awesome butterflies.

Sunday Long Live The King -- Timeshift to the future and post-the Queen of Heart's defeat. Turns out the residents of Wonderland Park feel that, since Victor killed their hated Queen, he should be their king. Victor -- has NO idea what to make of this. (no replies)

Sunday Draw Draw Draw -- Victor's very busy in Wonderland Park, drawing and taking notes on the Origami Ants and their society. Anyone want to come over and be introduced to his new friends? (no replies)

Sunday Which Would You Like? -- Victor's helping a customer pick out a new wrench. But who is this mysterious buyer of tools? One Marce Benitez ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez), who's buying something to try and fix a friend's watch and isn't sure what exactly Victor's offering. Fortunately, Dr. E. Brown's 24-Hour Scientific Services offers repairs too, and Doc ([livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast) joins the party to get it ticking again.

Sunday Get Me Out of This! -- In a small timeshift to the future, Victor's suffering the slow torture of being lectured by his parents while Doc and Marty are out of the shop. Fortunately, Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) shows up to save him with a broken toy. Of course, Nell and William ([livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast) are still around and willing to cause trouble. . . . Also, after this, Victor's more or less permanently shifted to post Chapter 6 in Secundus, meaning he knows Emily, Victoria, and Sir Christopher.

Sunday Different Class of People -- Victor's visiting Secundus's Ball & Socket Pub, here to visit his friends Emily ([livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast) and Bonejangles. Surrounded by Reanimated, he can't help but wonder if he's the only one here who needs to breathe. As it turns out, he's not -- Emil ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) is lost in the city and happened to have found his way into the Ball & Socket. There's also Mia ([livejournal.com profile] shadowling), visiting with a friend.

Sunday This Is Halloween -- It's Halloween in Secundus! This means parades, costumes, candy, and fun! And, if you're Victor, manning Doc's store because Doc stands by the "24-Hour" in its name. Then again, you never know who might show up needing something. Like, perhaps, a little lost trick-or-treater named Andrei ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) Doc, Marty, and the rest of the gang ([livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast) join in the fun as well.

Sunday Feeling Blue -- A timeshift to the future shows a post-Touched Victor feeling utterly miserable after a bad conversation with his parents. Will someone come along and try to cheer him up? Kephri ([livejournal.com profile] akisilver) is going to make a go of it, it appears.

Sunday Where Did All The Money Go? -- Victor's decided to go out to eat today. Unfortunately, he's discovered he's without his wallet -- after ordering. Will someone be nice and front him a few bucks? It appears so -- Adam ([livejournal.com profile] cierratweek) appears more than willing to pay for lunch. Later the two head back to the shop and meet up with Doc ([livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast).

Sunday Victor Isn't the Ideal Salesman -- Okay, who's brilliant idea was it to have Victor stand outside Doc's shop and announce a sale? The poor boy's nervous as hell -- maybe some customers will come in out of pity.

Sunday Strays Welcome -- Victor found a couple of poor little stray Reanimated dogs (based off Scraps and Frankenweenie) out in the cold in front of the store. He couldn't resist taking them inside to warm up. Hopefully the customers will like dogs! Fortunately, Emil ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) does.

Sunday Finding The Perfect Gift -- Victor's wandering around Secundus's shopping district, wondering what sort of gift he can get Alice. Will anyone offer up a suggestion? Ida ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) will -- a little charcoal drawing. Victor takes her up on it, and they chat briefly while she sketches the Vale of Tears for him.

Sunday Teacup Ride! No, Not That One -- Victor's helping Richard test a new invention -- a motorized teacup suitable for conveying a person. And he's just discovered that, while it has no visible braking mechanics, it does have brakes. Who wants to share in his relief? Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) does, while Richard ([livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast) happily rambles on about his plans for teacup transportation.

Sunday Jabberspawn Attack! (Now on Sy-Fy) -- There's a Jabberspawn loose inside Doc's shop, and Victor's trapped inside! Someone help!
Emil ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) answers the call, so to speak, though Victor wishes he hadn't just rushed inside like he did. And it still takes the intervention of Alice ([livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast) to fully subdue the beast.

Sunday Lost In The Park -- Wonderland Park is a truly amazing place -- but it's also an easy place to get lost in. Will Victor have to rescue anybody from the more dangerous sections of the park? (Or even the less dangerous sections?)

Regular Entries
Wednesday Decorations -- Victor posts a picture of what his Christmas trees generally looked like at home. Talked a bit with Valentine Varner ([livejournal.com profile] vavarner) about how the tree looked and what might change living in Secundus for Christmas.

Wednesday Never-Returns -- Victor posts a picture of his home back in Burtonsville, and immediately feels guilty. Senri ([livejournal.com profile] dainty_ofcourse) comments on the fish statues in front of Victor's house, leading to a long discussion including a) how grey Burtonsville is, b) Senri initially not believing Victor about the mad scientist stuff and c) Victor defending his love of his "grunt" job. For all that, though, they get along okay.

Twosday Two New Things -- Victor resolves to find his own flat and build a clockwork butterfly. Alice Liddell ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) expresses her eagerness to see Victor's clockwork butterfly once it's finished.

Wednesday Wishing -- Victor posts a picture of a sample clockwork butterfly. RabidReann ([livejournal.com profile] rabid1st) says it's lovely.

Saturday Themesong -- Victor discovers the song "Weird Science" and finds it amusing (and relevant) enough to declare his themesong. Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) is slightly disturbed by the lyrics and asks Victor not to go too mad. (Also two OOC comments)

Friday Insomnia Causes -- Victor lists a disturbingly long list of things that give him insomnia. Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) comments to suggest chamomile tea before bed.

Saturday Dancing Songs -- Victor talks about his poor performance as a dancer, and shares songs relating to waltzes and quadrilles. Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) comments that she herself is undecided on the quadrille -- on the one hand, it's a nice lively dance, on the other, it's kind of complicated and easy to mess up if you let your mind wander. Victor strongly sympathizes on the latter point.

Wednesday: Valentine's Day Box -- Victor makes a box for Valentine's Day, and is given lots of nice valentines from numerous people. He responds in kind for Madeline, Vitch, Brandy, M. May, Lalaina, El'Ari, Wendy, Delma, and Arista, Victoria, Caitlin, Sherry, Senri, Alice, and Val. (Whew!)

Thursday Hatred -- A future-set drabble about Victor getting furious with his parents for wanting him fixed prompts a sympathetic comment from Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits).

Wednesday Style Blunders -- Victor shows off a picture of him as a little kid, in a less-than-flattering suit. Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) offers her opinions on that matter.

Saturday Ballad -- Victor chooses as his ballad "The Lady of Shalott," linking to the text of the poem and embedding both a regular (if shortened) version of it -- and, to match Lucy's post, the Emilie Autumn version of the story. Lucy ([livejournal.com profile] mslucysleeches) gets a laugh out of it. Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) offers her comments on the loveliness of the poem.

Twosday Good and Bad Decisions -- Victor discusses a time he was right (staying in Secundus) and a time he was wrong (choosing to read a penny dreadful in the middle of the day and getting caught). [livejournal.com profile] naamah_darling's Valor Fable weighs in with his own thoughts on getting interrupted while reading and the weirdness of having your parents be characters in dime novels.

Wednesday Impossible Thoughts -- Victor posts a picture of Gilgamesh Wulfenbach's paper doll as his impossible thing, stating he'll never have the man's physique. Both Senri ([livejournal.com profile] dainty_ofcourse) and Autumn ([livejournal.com profile] hashibasarrow) weigh in with their thoughts about a certain area of Gil's anatomy. . . . Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits), meanwhile, is shocked at Victor putting up a picture of a man in his unmentionables (Victor apologizes profusely, to his credit).

Thursday Future Revenge -- A drabble about Victor's future "canon" going a bit Creative sparks Autumn ([livejournal.com profile] hashibasarrow) to comment about doing ugly things to protect the beautiful. The Victor of the drabble, pretty much high on rage, agrees. Her friend Isaac joins the conversation as they offer to help with the Queen, and get a full taste of Victor's broken mind.

Wednesday What You Eat -- Victor posts a picture of some of his most-eaten foods, most of which can be found on a tea table. Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) asks if the tarts pictured really are the flavors they look to be and comments favorably on the appearance of the sandwich platter. Victor admits that the red tarts are supposed to be squimberry and agrees with her on the niceness of a well-set tea table.

Thursday Death, Dying, and Zapping Them Back -- a drabble about Victor's grandfather's death and Pastor Galswells's reaction about five-year-old Victor innocently mentioning Reanimation prompts Farley ([livejournal.com profile] clanoftheswords) to comment on Pastor Galswells's lovely manners and the problems of resurrection. Victor agrees on both counts.

Twosday Two Good, One Bad -- Victor lists two of his good traits (polite and a good listener) and one of his bad (doesn't handle awkwardness well). Senri ([livejournal.com profile] dainty_ofcourse) pops in to prove that last point right and ask Victor about possible Alice datetimes. Victor is forced to admit he didn't confess to her since she apparently doesn't want romance. Senri isn't quite buying that (as well he shouldn't).

Friday I'm Sorry For Letting You Down -- Victor makes a list of the ways he's disappointed his parents and others, which mainly seems to involve him tripping. Elwood ([livejournal.com profile] elwoodsingblues) tells him not to beat himself up about it, there's worse things he could do, which leads to a brief discussion about family and mothers.

Twosday Truth and Lies -- Victor presents two lies and a truth to the people of [livejournal.com profile] charloft, asking them to guess which of these is true: he had ten governesses, his middle name is the result of a compromise between his mother and father, or he's never been stung by a bee or wasp. Senri ([livejournal.com profile] dainty_ofcourse) guesses that it's the first one, on the basis Nell would never compromise on anything. Victor has to tell him that she actually DID compromise on his middle name (also, that his governesses only equaled six.)

Wednesday Escaping the Heat -- Asked to visually represent a way he beats the heat, Victor posts some clip art of a guy under a tree. Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) comments to agree with his choice.

Wednesday Care To Trade Me? -- Victor makes a trading card for himself, and comments that this sort of card would be much nicer to exchange than the traditional calling card. [livejournal.com profile] naamah_darling, Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits), and Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) all agree with him.

Wednesday So Much Time Here -- Victor posts a picture of Wonderland Park's Vale of Tears in response to a prompt about a place where he spends too much time. (Not that he cares about spending too much time there.) Aidan ([livejournal.com profile] akisilver) comments to ask if it is indeed the Pool of Tears, which Victor confirms.

Saturday Up In The Air! It's -- A Pig? -- Victor responds to the quote, "With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine" by talking about how extremely true this is in Secundus. Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) comments on how nice it is to still have imagination -- something Victor quite agrees with.

Thursday Who Ya Gonna Call? -- Victor posts a drabble about their cash register deciding it wants to be haunted and slime people -- particularly Victor himself. Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) asks if this is the work of one of Slimer's kin -- Victor has no idea, all he knows is that his suit's ruined.

Thursday Not Wanting To Explain -- A future!drabble shows just how hard it is for Victor to discuss his parents with his children. Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) sympathizes, as she has a similar situation with her own father.

Thursday Reunions & Friday Cheering Myself Up -- In the first part of a two-day post, Victor shares a little ficlet based wondering why he had to reunite with his parents looking like a complete Igory mess. Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) comments with some sympathy and a mistaken impression that his parents got the point after his conversation with them (which Victor sets her straight on).

Saturday A Favorite Book -- Victor comments on "A Christmas Carol," and mentions he doesn't recall ever getting indigestion. Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) mentions she's had her fair share, mostly because of rich food. Victor wonders if growing up with a talented chef under his family's employ might be the reason for his lack of stomach trouble.

Wednesday Sweet Side of Christmas -- Victor posts a picture of his favorite holiday food -- candy canes! Emil ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) comments about how he he can't picture candy canes without stripes (while Victor finds it weird when they have them -- Victorian candy canes were plain white), which turns into a discussion on how to make candy canes and the destruction caused when one of Emil's kids gets his hands on one.

Friday Listing Excuses, Explanations, And More -- Victor lists some excuses, explanations, wishes, promises kept and broken, and a secret. One of the wishes involves hoping Alice likes him as much as he likes her -- Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) comments saying what a cute couple they'd make, getting Victor to blush.

Wednesday Main Stressors -- Victor's (slightly guilty) response to a prompt about what's stressing him out is a picture of his parents. Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) admits she would have put up a picture of her father if she could have found one, prompting Victor to ask about how parents seem to always know how to stress us out.

Twosday Treating Myself -- Victor's idea of "pampering" himself is to visit Finklestein Castle (for the piano) and Wonderland Park (for the everything). Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) compliments him on the simplicity.

Friday What To Do With A Genie -- Victor lists the three wishes he'd make if he came across your typical genie: get his parents to leave him alone in Secundus, make sure Sir Christopher was accepted by the Everglots, and (if he had the courage) find out if Alice actually loves him. Fritz ([livejournal.com profile] fritz4now) pops by to tell him that wishes that change people's feelings can be dangerous. Victor initially thinks he's talking about the Alice wish, but he's in fact referring to the wishes about the parents. Cue Victor having a bit of "oh I'm horrible" time before Fritz snaps him out of it.

Thursday No No No -- Victor posts a story about how a customer snapping at him revealed some of his "mother issues." Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) is stunned to hear they're STILL at him.

Saturday Losing The Light -- A quote by John Steinbeck about how it's always darker after a light goes out than it would be if there was never a light at all gets Victor thinking about a major loss in his life -- Scraps. Emil ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) comments to sympathize.

Wednesday Sim Me! -- Victor goes meta for a prompt about creating yourself as a Sim or in an avatar-maker, since his mun has a couple of Sim versions of him. Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) comments that he's less pale in Secundus, which absolutely confuses Victor because -- no. He is that pale.

Friday Poetical Instructions -- Victor writes some free verse instructions on how to get along in Secundus. Both Emil ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) and [livejournal.com profile] naamah_darling praise him, which Victor accepts bashfully.

Saturday Talking Flowers Do Both -- A quote on how spring blooms would be one hell of a noise if they were expressed in sound instead of color gets Victor thinking about Wonderland Park's talking flowers. And then about what pollination means for talking flowers. Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) comments to say this is why she feels awkward talking about biology to her kids, and they chat for a bit on how hard it is to explain the facts of life to others.

Twosday: Thought I'd Be Lending -- Victor notes that, of the borrowers and lenders, he's somehow ended up in the borrowers category. Borrowing a place to live, no less. Richard ([livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast) comments that Victor does his fair share of lending too, in lending a hand. Victor laughingly agrees.

Wednesday My Fears -- Victor posts a picture of his parents glaring in response to a fear prompt and explains he fears being judged and found wanting. Emil ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) comments to sympathize -- apparently he had a similar nasty moment with Marce's father.

Wednesday Brains In Coral -- A picture of a tropical seascape get Victor wishing he lived somewhere with such beautiful creatures. Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) suggests he figure out a way to come to Manila, which morphs into a discussion about drawing things on a glass-bottom boat.

Thursday What Is This Feeling? -- The prompt is "confidence," and the drabble is about a future Victor being shocked he has some. Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) comments to ask what he was working on -- turns out it was the glowing butterflies! Future!Victor has plans for different-colored ones next.

Friday Excuses & Saturday Bragging? -- Victor discusses various excuses he has for being late and how odd he feels about complaining when he knows that, compared to his friends, he's lived a privileged life. Emil ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) comments to say he's got a similar problem about complaining when you're rich -- though in his case, the guilt is put on him by others, not by himself. (So he's actually in sort of the opposite situation, as Victor's friends are always trying to get him to see it's okay to complain.) [livejournal.com profile] jeza_jezaro also comments to say those sound like her reasons for being late -- only she'd never say so out loud. Victor is amused and explains he always tries for honesty.

Twosday Doing Right, Doing Wrong -- Victor talks about a failure (his inability to charm the son of a baron at an important party for his mother) and a triumph (playing piano in front of a crowd without making any mistakes). Emil ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) picks up on Victor's mention that the baron's son was only interested in "manly" things and asks what those are. Victor lists some stuff, and a conversation about the manliness of dancing and playing music results. Emil also ends up informing Victor about the world wars, which horrifies the young man (can you blame him?).

Entries Commented On
{Twosday} ~ The Blame Game -- Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) relates a story of her as a girl ALMOST getting away with an illicit game of croquet with her friend the Page of Spades. Victor comments on it as amusing, and a brief description of hedgehog and flamingo croquet is provided.

Wednesday (older) -- Larisa Zorya ([livejournal.com profile] turnsthetides) posts a picture of the Northern Lights in response to the Christmas Decorations picture prompt. Victor can't help commenting on how beautiful they are.

{Wednesday} ~ A solitary tree -- Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) tells of a time she sketched a tree while her friends searched her house for snarks. Victor comments that he's sure the tree appreciated being her model, and tells her about his world's version of snarks.

{Sunday} ~ Questions -- Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) poses the famous "raven and writing desk" riddle on a search for answers. Victor offers up "for the same reason a whale is like an ink blotter," figuring nonsense should be answered with nonsense.

Sunday- -- [livejournal.com profile] jillykb asks the community to tell of one favorite memory of theirs. Victor picks his first Mad Hatter Haberdashery tea party, citing it as the moment he truly felt like he belonged among his friends.

Saturday: Stories In Music -- Lucy ([livejournal.com profile] mslucysleeches) links to an AMV of "The Peverell Story" by The Butterbeer Experience that happens to include clips from Corpse Bride. Victor pops in in meta form to note that second brother looks awfully familiar.

No Title -- Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) posts a version of "Jabberwocky" set to music. Victor comments favorably on it and informs her of the existence of jabberwocks (and their slayers) in his world.

{Wednesday} ~ You are what you eat -- Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) posts a lovely tea party spread. Victor mentions his love of apples and realizes too late he should have put those on his collage.

RP Sunday: Open to all, happy Spring~ -- Senri ([livejournal.com profile] dainty_ofcourse) appears to be hosting (or is at least present at) a tea and cupcake party for charity. Victor, always one for cupcakes, heads on over to nom and perhaps have a bit of conversation.

{Wednesday} ~ Trading Card -- Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) has made herself a trading card now! Victor tells her it looks very nice.

Wednesday: Things That Scare Me -- Darren ([livejournal.com profile] cierratweek) posts a picture of a rather large bug as a scary thing that's scary. While others freak out, Victor geeks out, which Marce ([livejournal.com profile] m_benitez) finds amusing.

Charloft RPG
Happy Easter! Won't you have an egg? -- Victor makes his first foray into World's End, and encounters Easter eggs. Consuming a gray one leaves him at rather a disadvantage when it comes to height. (Or, rather, perhaps it leaves everyone else at one, since he's grown to God knows how large.) His automatic yell of "LEWIS!" brings another Lewis ([livejournal.com profile] touched_son) along for a brief conversation.

Nightmares -- There is a hallway filled with doors in everyone's dreams right now. Confused Victor is confused -- but then, who wouldn't be? His confusion only increases when one door leads to a courtroom, and he finds himself on trial. For what he's not sure -- all he knows is that the blue-tentacled judge does not seem friendly.

Inkwell Bar
Who Ya Gonna Call? -- The Inkwell Halloween Party, which is Ghostbusters-themed this year, is crashed by Slimer, mood slime -- and poor Butterfly Boy Victor, who almost gets caught in the crossfire. Mass confusion (and goofy drugged DGVictor and Alien Lisa (AL, [livejournal.com profile] alienlisa) results.

So, Two Victors These Days (Three If You Count The Muse) -- the three Victors gather to explain their differences and thus how best to tell them apart.

Christmas Karaoke!! -- The Inkwell hosts a karaoke event for Christmas. Butterfly Boy Victor plays "The Carol of the Bells" on piano as his contribution. He then briefly comments (positively) on AL ([livejournal.com profile] alienlisa) and her boys' contribution to the event, and is rather shocked by the arrival of Captain John Hart ([livejournal.com profile] hart_on_sleeve).

Two Incidents of Inkwellian Christmas -- Fanfic-type post where 1) Butterfly Boy Victor is unknowingly caught under the mistletoe, and 2) the Secundus March Hare comes on as the new Inkwell cook.

A New Year, A New Birthday -- Steve & Gary, the "Portal" turrets, have their birthday! Butterfly Boy's present is a steampunk foozball version of Pong, which everyone (including AL ([livejournal.com profile] alienlisa) and John ([livejournal.com profile] hart_on_sleeve)) thinks is the coolest thing ever.

The Birthday of Fools (no offense, Simon) -- Simon's having a birthday over in the Inkwell. Butterfly Boy's present is a small model airship on a string -- that really flies. Perhaps not as good as steampunk Pong, but still pretty neat.

A Happy Birthday Despite The Looming Sequel -- Alice's birthday has come up in the rotation. Butterfly Boy gets her the pepper grinder from the upcoming "Alice: Madness Returns," following the theme the mun has set for the visible presents.

The Rest of Secundus Drops By. . . -- The members of [livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast visit the Inkwell looking to catch up with their Victor. Things naturally get a little awkward, especially since Victor's parents (and Victoria's to boot) have come along for the ride. . . .

Double Birthday? How About a TRIPLE Birthday? -- It's birthday time at the Inkwell again -- only this time one of the celebrants is Butterfly Boy himself! [livejournal.com profile] deadgirlsliekme and [livejournal.com profile] museicalmarty are celebrating too, of course, but the main focus of the day is on the new kid. The other characters are determined that he have a good time. And he does, really. The members of [livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast also come over for a visit -- after all, it's their Marty's birthday too.

September 7th: Important To More Than Just Backies -- Another birthday is upon us! It's Lucy's turn this go-round, and Victor has a lovely present for her. Who likes steampunk violins?

Factoid: This is Also Jeff Goldblum's (the second choice for Doc) Birthday -- The end of October is always a busy one for the Inkwell, and it all starts off with Doc Brown's birthday. Victor's got a rather interesting present for him -- who knew you could steampunk Mr. Fusion? Doc, Marty, and Alice of [livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast also stop by for a while.

*Insert Happy Birthday As Orchestrated By Alan Silvestri* -- Second major October event at the Inkwell? Dee's birthday! Victor of course has a nice present -- a cute little hovering top toy his Doc built. Perhaps not as flashy as his other gifts, but hey -- it's still pretty cool.

This is Halloween, This is Halloween -- It's Halloween again at the Inkwell! And Victor is still serving up a few surprises -- while the rest of his friends followed a Pixar theme, he had his own idea on how to dress up. Hello Hysteria Victor!

Christmas Time Is Here -- The Inkwell's holding a little Christmas party to get everyone in the spirit of the season. Butterfly Boy's nominally in charge of the music -- though he's more than likely going to let anyone who wants a crack at it at the jukebox. He's still not sure of modern Christmas tunes.

*Insert April Fool's Joke As Pertaining to Birthdays Here* -- It's Simon's birthday again. While Butterfly Boy doesn't give him a present on-screen (because, really, what could top his first round of gifts?), he does weigh in on an later discussion concerning his mun's Sims-playing habits.

May The Fourth Be A Little Sunnier -- Alice's ([livejournal.com profile] save_us_alice) birthday has come up again. Butterfly Boy does have an on-screen present for her: the good old shield parasol from A:MR. Later, he also gives his Alice ([livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast) a little gift: the Darkened Looking Glass from AMA.

So Yeah -- Ultra Birthday -- It's the triple (quadruple if you count Forgotten Vows on Tumblr) birthday, and Butterfly Boy is ready to have some fun! [livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast drop by for a visit too, since they need to celebrate as well.

Lucy Thinks Fridays Are Better Than Mondays Anyway -- As fall comes around, so does Lucy's birthday. This is really here just for completeness's sake, as Butterfly Boy doesn't get a thread to himself -- just a brief speaking role as his mun explains that he's getting most of his RP time on Tumblr as of late.

Seems Redundant -- He Already GOT The Best Present He Could Get -- Birthday time again, this time for Doc Brown! Actually, both Doc Browns -- [livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast drops by to visit, and Butterfly Boy gives his Doc some interesting arm wear.

Hurricanes Will NOT Stop Halloween Parties! -- Despite a hurricane knocking out the mun's net for a time (said time being from Monday evening to Wednesday evening), the Inkwell Halloween Party is still on! Butterfly Boy is dressed up as Jack Skellington, and he's brought a friend this year -- Forgotten Vows, the other Victor on tumblr.

Dear Mun
Victor's Own Entries
New Muse! Canon is Corpse Bride -- Sort Of -- Victor asks me why he can't see his own fanfic, and why he can't live in the Inkwell until Halloween. My non-answer worries him.

Mun's Feeling A Bit Stressed -- Victor tries to comfort me when I'm stressed about glitches with my new website and getting NaNo AND my schoolwork done on time.

On "Canon" Adjustments and Charloft -- Victor comments on my choice to move his "canon" point from Chapter Two of "Secundus" to Chapter Five, and says he's perfectly settled in [livejournal.com profile] charloft and that I shouldn't worry about games for him. Also that he really doesn't deserve more icons, being the new guy and all. . . .

Just a Quick Happy Message -- Victor wishes me a happy birthday, which attracts the attention of Trucy Wright and V from V for Vendetta of all people.

Valentine's Day Brings -- Interesting Thoughts -- Victor wishes me a happy Valentine's Day, which quickly devolves into him being annoyed with me for thinking about him and "harems." He also informs me that Alice ([livejournal.com profile] save_us_alice) and DG-Victor ([livejournal.com profile] deadgirlsliekme) want to share a room now, a proposition I have no objections to. And a suggestion about his own Touched behavior is made, which is both meta and just plain weird.

Mun Has Been Writing On Improper Subjects -- Victor voices his discomfort over the fact that both his Cupid Challenge prompts for [livejournal.com profile] charloft ended up being about "relations" and begs me to stop writing about such things, at least so openly. At least he approves of his new paid journal style.

Mun's A Little Obsessive About Character Birthdays -- Victor tells me to, in essence, calm down already because his birthday went fine. He's perfectly happy and I shouldn't stress so much. (It's just tough when you have three muses all with the same birthday, Victor!)

We Won Something? (Canon is AU!Steampunk!Multiverse!Corpse Bride) -- Victor's quite pleased to learn that he and his mun won 1st place at [livejournal.com profile] charloft's 100 Drabbles of Summer. He also encourages me to maybe try to draw those icons of his I'm missing, and says he's okay with me putting him into more [livejournal.com profile] memebells threads. (But he's not okay with one of my possible options for tumblr RP -- namely, GrittyAUFuture!him. He advises me to go with the other Victor I had in mind if I try it.)

One Year Old, Victor! What Have You Learned? -- On the first anniversary of his journal's making, Victor says he's learned that he really shouldn't encourage me with [livejournal.com profile] memebells, but that since I do sometimes do nice things for him and he has good friends, he's generally happy being my muse. He does ask to be put in more "happy" memes, and that I be nice to the Victor I just made on Tumblr. Always looking out for others, that one.

On Mun wanting to do something with him, but acting oddly shy -- Victor comments on my lack of doing anything with him anywhere lately. He says he understands the lack of inspiration (citing a) my RPing on Tumblr and b) LJ's new comment system of evil), but does his best to encourage me to at least do another meme.

Entries Victor Commented On
to all nanowrimo participants -- Victor comments in the post of the NaNoWriMo mascot to say I'm doing a lot better on my NaNo than he claims she is.

on nearing that glorious 50k with nanowrimo -- Victor comments in Jordan Langley's post about her mun being 3,000 words away from NaNo completion, offering his and my good wishes (and telling her not to worry about the story not actually being finished at 50k).

I said it last year, and I'll say it again: I wish he could not be homeless, for serious. -- Santa appears in [livejournal.com profile] dear_mun, and Victor is forced to admit that his Father told him "Father Christmas" wasn't real.

Was to appear in Christmas time, but Mun got impatient -- Mistletoe appears in [livejournal.com profile] dear_mun, but Victor, despite ending up underneath, gets no kisses. :(

In regards to the new Madness Returns trailer and the release date (!!) -- An AMA Alice ([livejournal.com profile] isnotedible) complains about her mun being a little too excited about the new trailer and the release date of the new game. After all, she's not looking forward to seeing Wonderland go evil again. Victor comments to offer his sympathies and remark on his mun's own weirdness regarding the trailer (cute evil teapots!).

new muse, homeless and looking -- Another AMA Alice ([livejournal.com profile] vorpalmind), comments on the suddenness of her creation and how she has no time for games (and that she's not too fond of the username either). Victor drops in to say that I'm (of the time of commenting) up to the asylum level, and that he feels very sorry for the children. (Poor guy, it's his first time seeing the game in person. . . .)

They're Baaaaack~! (For now) ['Canon' is Fatal Frame II still] -- A swarm of bright red butterflies in [livejournal.com profile] dear_mun has captured Victor's interest. Of course, given the butterflies are apparently from "Fatal Frame II," they may not be entirely innocent -- but a few quick sketches won't hurt, will they?

Why am I doing this? New muse, probably homeless forever. Canon is Corpse Bride. -- A Victoria Everglot ([livejournal.com profile] misseverglot) appears in [livejournal.com profile] dear_mun to complain a little about her icons and about the way her mun sees Victor, and to express her hopes about meeting some interesting people. Poor Victor may or may not fulfill the latter, being an awkward AU version of the man she loves -- who doesn't know her to boot.

Other RP Opportunities
Metaish/Vaguely Related to Charloft
Metaish: A Birthday Message -- Victor wishes all the Alices he knows (including his own, [livejournal.com profile] save_us_alice, and [livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) a happy birthday. The Alice he met at [livejournal.com profile] charloft, [livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits, comments to say thanks.

{Meta-ish!} -- Charloft!Alice ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) returns the favor in the post above by wishing Victor a happy birthday. Victor replies gratefully, if rather belatedly. Ooops.

Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] 8butterflyboy8 -- Senri ([livejournal.com profile] dainty_ofcourse) sends along a nice note and some chocolates for Victor's birthday. Victor replies with his heartfelt thanks after his mun finally sees it.

Meta: Personality Disorder Test -- Victor takes a personality disorder test found on Alice's ([livejournal.com profile] boxofcomfits) journal. His scores put him at very high risk of Avoidant and Dependent disorders (which he agrees with) and high risk of Histrionic disorder (which he doesn't). Alice comments on the results of her own test (leaning toward Schizotypal) and agrees with Victor that histrionic doesn't really fit him.

Orangeflies? -- The mun's friend Lisa ([livejournal.com profile] gigs_83) posts a picture of some oranges arranged like butterflies for Victor. Victor takes notes for future mad sciencey-purposes. The mun tries to tell him not everything can be made into a butterfly -- Victor retorts that it's Secundus, of course they can.

Memes
The Wonder Factory Meme! -- There is a magical toy shop filled with toys begging for people to play with them. How could anyone pass this up? Certainly not Victor -- he's found himself an electronic keyboard and is happily getting his piano on. (And for what it's worth, Alice of [livejournal.com profile] secundus_cast is having a stuffed animal tea party nearby.)

The 'Rabbit Done Died' Meme -- People are getting other people pregnant all over the place! Including an Alice ([livejournal.com profile] onlymywits) via Victor. She's currently four months along, and not precisely happy. Victor's trying to be the good father-to-be, but he's WAY nervous.

The Power Games Meme -- Power games are being played, and Victor might be on the receiving end of a few. Hopefully he won't go Creative on anyone. . .

The Moment After Meme -- People have just had "relations" -- let's see what happens immediately afterward. Specifically, let's see what happens when Victor has just 'done the deed' with an Alice. ([livejournal.com profile] malicenotalice) (Victor's under the Harry Potter thread)

The Absolute Obedience Meme -- Victor's stuck doing whatever anyone tells him to do. His only hope is that whoever shows up has his best interests in mind.

Somebody's Been Sleeping In My Bed! -- Or, rather, Victor's snoozing in somebody's bed. Whose bed is it? That remains to be seen.

Show Of Affection Meme -- There's fluffy stuff happening, and Victor hopefully is a part of it.

The Captivity Meme -- People are being held captive for a variety of reasons. Poor Victor's gotten himself caught by someone -- but by who, exactly?

Good Help is Hard to Find -- For once, Victor's in control as his Touched self! Who will have the honor of being his minions? (Don't worry, he's a sweetheart of a mad scientist.)

icon spam meme -- In probably the oddest meme ever, Victor and Egon Spengler ([livejournal.com profile] drspengler) make faces at each other.

the FIND THE OTHER HALF meme -- A rather meta meme has Victor (and I) throwing out an ad for Alices. God knows if anybody will respond.

The List Meme! -- Victor shows off his to-do list. Perhaps someone would like to comment on how odd his life is.

The Horror Movie Meme -- In a twist on the plot of "Carrie," a Touched Victor has been invited home to show off a few of his butterflies and such at a party in his honor. Unfortunately, said party was actually a prank to humiliate him, and he's ended up drenched in pig's blood. Can Alice ([livejournal.com profile] isnt_a_toy) stop him before he decides murder is the best solution to silence these fools?

The Fuck -- Marry -- Kill Meme -- Do you want to fuck, marry, or kill someone -- and how? Victor, as it turns out, wants to -- make love with Alice ([livejournal.com profile] onlymywits), and he's working up the nerve to ask for something a little unusual. How will she react? Will the mun get to play out some smut?

The Absolute Power Meme -- People now have the ability to command others to do their bidding. So who's going to command Victor? Why, an Alice ([livejournal.com profile] wonderception), of course! Unknowingly at first, but who knows what further interaction will bring?

The Pony Meme -- People are now ponies. Including a very confused Victor. He'll cheer up once he realizes he's a pegasus.

The Lucid Dreaming Meme -- People are having fun with lucid dreams -- well, as much fun as they can have when someone else is lucid dreaming in their lucid dream. Victor's taking advantage of the situation to try and chase down some hard-to-catch butterflies. Who, if anyone, will join him? Why, a living Emily ([livejournal.com profile] leftwithtears) will! And Victor will get to wow her with steampunky goodness (in the form of a dream version of Doc's time train)!

The Angst Meme -- People are being angsty. And poor Chell ([livejournal.com profile] testsubject1498) has to deal with a Victor in the middle of going Creative. (Possibly in Aperture Science. Oh God.)

Headcanon Meme -- Share info about my version of Victor? Don't mind if I do.

Daemon Meme -- Everyone's soul is now represented outside their body in animal form via daemons. A post-Touched Victor and his dormouse-with-butterfly-wings daemon Lucinda are open to chatting.

Non-Inkwell Museboxes
I'm your little butterfly -- In perhaps a "prequel" to their Rabbit Done Died thread, Alice ([livejournal.com profile] onlymywits) and Victor are on a blind date. Things promise to get very awkward before they get better. (at [livejournal.com profile] smurfbox)

Other Sites
Butterfly Boy on tumblr -- basically, adventures on Tumblr. In Tumblr-Verse, his parents took a lot longer to get to Secundus and couldn't bring the Everglots -- his relationship with Victoria was dissolved by post. His parents angrily disowned him and left him in the city. Also, Alice is from her own canon -- there's no alternate version of her in the city.
